News stories

During the past decade or so, the news stories about digital nomads and digital nomadism have been booming. It seems that not only are this sort of life-style mobilities becoming more common, but that there is also a growing realisation on the significance of the phenomenon. The news stories I have read discuss the changing nature of work and how we understand it. The news stories usually pay attention to the location-independence of work and to how it enables nomads to choose where they work from. Other topics of interest seem to be the nomads’ preferred destination countries, their relative freedom of movement in choosing where to work and what impact this have for employers, corporations, municipalities, countries and so forth.

Here I have listed news stories from major English-speaking news papers and news stories in some other languages too (French, Spanish, Finnish, Swedish, etc). I’ll be updating these as I come across new ones. Scroll down and click on the ones that interest you!
